Terms of Service

Effective as of August 2, 2026

Please read these terms carefully before using Mindora. They explain what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Not an emergency service. Mindora, including its AI companion, is a wellness support tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, contact your local emergency number immediately, or in Rwanda call the Umutima Counselling Centre at +250 788 386 225. Internationally, Crisis Text Line: text HOME to 741741.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Mindora, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Mindora account. If you are using Mindora on behalf of a minor, you confirm you are legally authorized to do so.

3 Description of Service

Mindora provides: therapist discovery and appointment booking, mood tracking and insights, secure messaging with therapists, guided self-help exercises, and an AI companion for supportive conversation. Availability of therapists and features may vary by region and over time.

4 Your Account

5 Appointments & Therapists

Therapists on Mindora are independent practitioners; Mindora facilitates the connection and scheduling but is not itself a healthcare provider. Cancellation and rescheduling are available through the app subject to each therapist's availability. We do not currently enforce a minimum-notice window or charge no-show fees for cancellations.

6 AI Companion

The AI companion offers supportive, informational conversation. It is not a licensed therapist, does not provide medical diagnoses, and its responses should not be treated as professional advice. Conversations may be automatically screened for crisis indicators to direct you to appropriate resources.

7 Acceptable Use

You agree not to: impersonate another person; harass, threaten, or abuse other users or therapists; attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8 Fees

Mindora is currently provided free of charge, with no in-app purchases or subscription plans. We'll give notice before introducing or changing any fees.

9 Intellectual Property

The Mindora app, its design, and content (excluding content you submit) are owned by Mindora and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as journal notes and messages).

10 Termination

You may stop using Mindora and delete your account at any time — see Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a safety risk to others.

11 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindora is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes in the app or by email before they take effect.
